The Capital Area Urban League (CAUL) is established to enable African Americans, Hispanics, and other disenfranchised citizens of the five counties of Rensselaer, Schenectady, Albany, Montgomery, and Saratoga, to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights.

As a social welfare organization the Capital Area Urban League shall accomplish its mission through the dissemination of information to our membership and our constituencies by offering such programs, services, forums, focus groups, meetings, publications, and activities that accomplish the mission of CAUL and improve the quality of life.
